Travels and what not....

To  all of you that have this blog bookmarked, be sure to go to my site and bookmark my newer  WP one as I will eventually kill this LJ.  I fell in love with Wordpress  three years ago when I started my personal "vanilla" blog.More like, became addicted really. It is an excellent platform in so many ways.  My personal/academic/professional lives aside; the main reason I've been so absent on my blog is that I have been consumed with my personal one the past few years. And unless you readers share  either my similar interests,  work in security research,  and/ or  a "nilla" career in high tech, you won't be amused.  Nothing dark or kinky. Or weird or "too unusual".   When I do update the dark and kinky fun one, it will be the Wordpress one most of the time.   So take note.

So I do have some travels in order.   I'm very upset that Mistress Reese and I didn't get to do our annual Las Vegas trip this year. We've been going every summer for years, but we both had too much going on at the time.Next summer, we will certainly be there. Since there are 3 cons to attend in such a short time next July/August, her and I will be staying in Sin City even longer to balance out the trip with more fun.  I know it's a whopping 11 months away, but we miss our friends who we meet out there on that trip and it was painful to miss so much fun and good times this year.  As for other adventures, her and I will be going to Chicago in October. More on that later

I will be in Boston the 15-17th of this month, but honestly, it is looking rather tentative. But for great reason.  I have a house closing the 14th of this month which is the day before I am supposed to depart.  Hooray for a new beautiful home and a serious ass kicking of an investment! But boo to my relator for bad timing.  I am very, very excited. I was raised as a child to be a saver. Not necessarily "frugal", but I was taught at a young age to save. Open multiple savings accounts for different purposes and do not touch them under any circumstances.Which definitely sucked at times as I watched friends constantly indulge in superfluous and frivolous expenditures, despite my knowledge that they were living well  beyond their means and thought nothing of the repercussions of their financial irresponsibility  on their future. I finally feel the reward. I love it when hard work and sacrifice finally pays off!  It's a big, gorgeous home not far from Center City.Actually, I won't be too far from Renee, yay!  That said, closing is the day before I leave for Boston and movers are scheduled to relocate from the loft to the new home on the 23rd. And I have a *a lot* to do between those days with both jobs. And do you think I started packing yet?  Hell no. :)   I will try to make it work. It will be brutal trying to squeeze all of this in.  So, I am still iffy on Beantown despite how much I miss my boys. I will finalize it soon and announce via yahoo group and email list.

Crazy past two months...

are finally over and I'm recovered from the chaos.
The month of July alone I found myself in six different cities and then August was consumed in
work, two more work related conventions, BDSM sessions, wedding planning, house hunting and preparing for the next semester.
I tend to attract a lot of people from out of town coming here to Philly. I don't what it is about August being a "travel month" for business but I got swamped with visiting players- even more than usual.
It was rather arduous to juggle all that and my personal and  the "'nilla" professional life but it was rewarding.

Am I exhausted after this summer? Yes. Very much so, but looking forward to many new changes about to take place! :)
Potential trip to Boston in late September and NYC. More later.

This weekend and more....

I'm in DC for a shoot and was able to catch up with all of you whom I missed this past February due to the "Snowpacalpsye". To be painfully  honest, <and yeah-pun intended> as much I love to play, it was a "blessing in disguise" that the weather brought on the havoc that it did. I was down there for a really awesome convention and figured that I would take sessions on the side.Although it was "vanilla job" industry related, I was having such a blast spending time with my friends and meeting new ones

It is really arduous to balance a respectable career (like I assume you all have of course) and an eccentric ,
rogue "off kilter" job/lifestyle like this. For most of you BDSM and "sessioning" with a Domme is like a mental vacation. Not so for some of us. I've been into this  since I was a teen-and yet the same goes for my IT endeavors- I was writing programs, exploits and web sites before highschool.  It's just something embedded in me that I can't  deny and/or relinquish.
It's very "Clark Kent". There is the Alter Ego and the day to day person like all of you yet it is very much the same individual and  nor is it a fleeting urge. I didn't get into this for a "job" like many Pro Dommes in Philadelphia- kink has always been a huge part of who I am. I just have the self awareness to know how to recognize and substantiate the degrees of seperation.

But I digress...DC is awesome.I may be moving here in another two years.I was offered an amazing job that I *shouldn't* refuse.
But anyway, I am looking forward to coming back to Philadelphia. I just got a new amazing suspension hoist built into the bondage bed on the studio. Can't wait to break it in more! :)

The month of July ....

for me will be absolutely nuts. I will barely be in Philadelphia. Not that I am complaining about that however.
After an intensely grueling past year of non stop work and super demanding 18 credit hour semesters, I am overjoyed to be able to relax a bit while getting away!
I have a few engagements related to the " 'nilla" job that is taking me to other cities. Just IT conferences and conventions. Thankfully, they won't be too time consuming. :)

I will be in Boston July 2- July 8th.Looking forward to seeing my Boston toys. Its been awhile even though I am up there constantly.
Baltimore is the next  weekend but will not be able to session. Then I am in Miami July 15th-18th and able to play for two of those days.
Then New York and then back to Philly.
The 23rd I will be at a shore house with S.O. and friends  spending the weekend at the beach with iPad and loved ones-thats part of my true "vacay" this summer.

Then I will be back in Las Vegas again  July 28th-31st and will see a few select subs at my leisure.
damn, I love Vegas. It may be landlocked and no beach around, but wow is it an amazing and fun city..
Busy summer, indeed!

These are always wonderful...

I received these in an e-mail. They  are not listed on the Darwin Site but they are worth sharing regardless.
Its frightening that people this stupid once walked the Earth.

Ninth Place

In Detroit, a 41-year-old man got stuck and drowned in two feet of water after squeezing head first through an 18-inch-wide sewer grate to retrieve his car keys.

Eighth Place
A 49-year-old San Francisco stockbroker, who totally zoned when he ran, accidentally jogged off a 100-foot high cliff on his daily run.

Seventh Place
While at the beach, Daniel Jones, 21, dug an 8-foot hole for protection from the wind and had been sitting in a beach chair at the bottom when it collapsed, burying him beneath 5 feet of sand. People on the beach used their hands and shovels trying to get him out but could not reach him. It took rescue workers using heavy equipment almost an hour to free him. Jones was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Sixth Place
Santiago Alvarado, 24, was killed as he fell through the ceiling of a bicycle shop he was burglarizing. Death was caused when the long flashlight he had placed in his mouth to keep his hands free rammed into the base of his skull as he hit the floor.

Fifth Place
Sylvester Briddell, Jr., 26, was killed as he won a bet with friends who said he would not put a revolver loaded with four bullets into his mouth and pull the trigger.

Fourth Place
After stepping around a marked police patrol car parked at the front door, a man walked into H&J Leather & Firearms intent on robbing the store. The shop was full of customers and a uniformed officer was standing at the counter. Upon seeing the officer, the would-be robber announced a hold-up and fired a few wild shots from a target pistol. The officer and a clerk promptly returned fire, and several customers also drew their guns and fired. The robber was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Crime scene investigators located 47 expended cartridge cases in the shop. The subsequent autopsy revealed 23 gunshot wounds. Ballistics identified rounds from 7 different weapons. No one else was hurt.

Third Place
Paul Stiller, 47, and his wife Bonnie were bored just driving around at 2 A.M. so they lit a quarter stick of dynamite to toss out the window to see what would happen. Apparently they failed to notice the window was closed.

Second Place
Kerry Bingham had been drinking with several friends when one of them said they knew a person who had bungee-jumped from a local bridge in the middle of traffic. The conversation grew more heated and at least 10 men trooped along the walkway of the bridge at 4:30 AM. Upon arrival at the midpoint of the bridge they discovered that no one had brought a bungee rope. Bingham, who had continued drinking, volunteered and pointed out that a coil of lineman’s cable lay near by. They secured one end around Bingham’s leg and then tied the other to the bridge. His fall lasted 40 feet before the cable tightened and tore his foot off at the ankle. He miraculously survived his fall into the icy water and was rescued by two nearby fishermen. Bingham’s foot was never located.

Winner
German Zookeeper, Friedrich Riesfeldt, fed his constipated elephant 22 doses of animal laxative and more than a bushel of berries, figs and prunes before the plugged-up pachyderm finally got relief. Investigators say ill-fated Friedrich, 46, was attempting to give the ailing elephant an olive oil enema when the relieved beast unloaded. The sheer force of the elephant’s unexpected defecation knocked Mr. Riesfeldt to the ground where he struck his head on a rock as the elephant continued to evacuate 200 pounds of dung on top of him

New locations!

Center City and  a real discreet suburban locale for those that find venturing into the city the pain in the ass that it can.
Contact me for more info.

I am really worn from a wonderful extended Double Mistress strap-on scene yesterday. Wow,it was really intense. Heavy teasing,humilation,violation...it was pretty incredible. I have no idea how he was able to walk afterwards!
It was fun and even better when I had him massage me since he is pro, and my shoulder has been killing me for a week now.

I need to cram. I have four exams this week and I'm really tired. When I get a free moment I will post about the awesome trip to
Nola. I think the entire group of people I went down with are all still recovering from it.

EXHAUSTED.....

Wow. If most people actually had the perseverance, ambition and goals that I have...imagine that...

Ugh, well, it all comes with a price to pay, doesn't it?! I have been working 40 hours plus a week and I am taking
20 credits this full time semester. I am just as drained and exhausted as I feel accomplished.
I am amazed that I am still able to conduct as many sessions as I have recently. and honestly, the fun play feels even more rewarding as usual. Like you subs who declare how playing is an "escape from reality" well, unlike 97% of most Dommes, I know first hand.
I believe in keeping an equilibrium in both worlds which keeps me very grounded and real.
No bullshit here.
Funny how many take the easy way out and take things for granted and let reality slip, slip, slip  away, lol.
There are some craaaaaaazy,  disconnected  bitches in this.

So yes, don't bother preaching to the choir. I really do love this job because unlike many, I do not consider this a job.
Take it seriously,yes...but it really, it  is wonderfully fun play!

But I digress.....my vacation is finally approaching. And I don't mean the one I will be taking to Egypt next Spring. :) Yes, I am accepting a few sessions but a few sessions only in New Orleans.
I am coming down with a group of friends and even co-workers I have been close with since high school.
Session time is very,very limited!

See you then,

DLE

Damn you Hurricanes....

How horribly frustrating. My shoot in the Keys and Daytona were postponed until late November due to Fay and now
Nola is not looking good. Our trip is in limbo, but I am very relieved that people are okay.  Luckily, Gustav did very minimal damage to the city than was expected.  We do have two concerns, named Ike and soon to be named Josephine.  Ike is a tropical storm gathering steam around the Caribbean islands and Josephine is strengthening into a tropical storm somewhere off the west coast of Africa .  Hurricane Hanna is scheduled to hit between Georgia and South Carolina , so that’s no concern; Ike and Josephine have no projected path of yet. My friends and I  will not cancel this trip until we absolutely have to or New Orleans comes under another evacuation  close to the time we’re due to travel.

Stupid weather.

HOME FINALLY.....

Thanks to Hurricane Fay my Daytona and Keys trip is postponed until November since there will be far less risk of tropical storms.
I was very disappointed since I have not been to the  Keys in about three years and I like it there much more than Miami, but it will just make it more fun in the fall. So no Florida, but I left this past Saturday morning to head out to Long Island and I didn't get home to PA until very late last night.  Ugh, if I never have to board a train ever again it will be too soon. I had to be up at 5am this morning to crank out as much work as possible in order to be done to film some video with Lindsay in the afternoon.
It was very worth it... what we filmed is sick and hot! Lots of strap-on and heavy stuff.
I am so tired that I am near hallucination....I'm calling it a night at 9pm!
I need to pull the same fun stunt tomorrow morning  but only with even more to do.
Get up at the butt crack of dawn (about 5am) so I  can complete the majority of work  so I can go new car shopping at noon, drop off a pet to a friend, shoot some more video and then hit the gym.
And then do some more work.  Ugh.
I like feeling  like an over worked zombie...its the only way  you really know that  A LOT is being accomplished.
